As to the Person Of God #2

“And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples which are not written in this book: but these written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name.” John 20:30, 31.
Elsewhere in this paper you will find an article in which we have posed the question, “Is it reasonable that the creator of all would write a book?” We are not only fully persuaded that it is very reasonable, but that we could go so far as to say that we should expect Him to do so.
Just think with me a bit… If God created the first man and gave the man life so he could be a living soul, an energized, vitalized being, yet a creature that was subject to death, and as the Bible teaches, is now actually in the process of dying and will die. Then could we not expect that this creator would try in some way to inform this creature, why he’s dying. Especially so if our loving God had devised a way out of the state of death. We can think of no better means of Him doing this than to record and preserve the information in a permanent manner.
So God inspired a book, using simple words and straightforward language that could be read over and over, again and again. Words that this creature could come to understand the true meaning of, and could come to the place that he would believe the very message of hope those words contain. A life-bringing message of hope those words contain, a life-bringing message that any man, woman, girl, boy, young or old. With great education or none, could read, or listen to another read, and become convinced in their heart that the message was truth. A message which anyone could easily receive into their mind, and either account it all as a lie (the biggest hoax ever) or fully account it as the truth from God.
Now we invite you, to urge you, even to challenge you, to read and reread the portion of the Bible called the Gospel of John. Read it again and again until you can either believe it to be a lie or the truth. To be a message of Love and Hope from your Creator, God. I urge you to do this because it is a matter of life or death. The only way to have life is to believe the record of the Son of God.
