In The Heaven Far Above All Heavens #29

Most serious students of the Scriptures believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified in A.D. 29 according to the present day Gentile calendar. I suppose it is debatable as to the length of the “Acts” period following His death & resurrection. After 30 years of study, I have settled on the 35 yrs. (5x7). It is very important for us to know how the N.T. Books cooperate with this period; that is, before, during, or after the Acts period. Get to work!

Both Oscar Baker ( Warsaw, IN) and the McCurry’s (West Union, SC) agree that the Book of Romans was written later in the Acts period around 58 A.D. I am not aware when Welch and other fabulous saints from the U.K., Canada, or the U.S. place the writing of this Book. If any of you have worked up a chronology of the N.T., please send it to me at

The Holy Spirit thru the Apostle Paul makes a compelling statement in Rom. 8:28-30 (an Acts period Book, yes, but ask yourself if the principle stands true today) “and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified”. If someone came over to your home tonight, could you give them a decent explanation of these Scriptures especially verses 29 & 30? Certainly it is plain that the works of the Father’s predestination are governed by His foreknowledge!

Each calling and each adoption has its own particular sphere of blessing and its own unique reason for existing as the Father’s Plan of Redemption unfolds. Those predestinated to each calling are known to Him thru His foreknowledge by how they choose to either accept or reject His Truth when they are presented with it.

The Truth of the Dispensation of the Mystery is revealed to us by wisdom and revelation (Eph.1:17-19). It is an unspeakable gift since it allows us to know the entire framework of the Father’s Plan. We can know how He is working from before time even came into being, throughout the ages & beyond.
